It’s me again…one more thing and then I’ll give you a break for a while.
This season, rather than taking donation items at our swim meets from families, we will be adding a fee to each families registration (per family, not per swimmer). The concessions team will use those funds to shop for concessions items as needed. Due to the increased workload the concessions team will take on, we NEED one more parent to volunteer, as a board member with board member perks, to step up and help these two moms out.
If you haven’t read the post I sent out earlier, please take a minute to do so…we REALLY need YOUR help!
We’re already thinking about our 2012 Swim Season. While doing so we need to prepare by asking parents to step up and fill some Wahoos board postions.
As a board member you will not be required to volunteer beyond your position responsibilities however we would happily take any additional help you have to offer. Also, you would not need to pay the per swimmer booster fee to the team (last year it was $37/swimmer).
The positions we need to fill are:
1. Wahoos VP/President Elect…you would be my assistant this season, learn the ropes and continue on in 2013 as the team President and Parent Rep.
2. We need TWO parents to volunteer as the Volunteer Coordinators. This 2012 season they would help our current Volunteer Coordinator, learn the ropes and take over beginning in the 2013 swim season.
We also need help on the Stroke and Turn Team (this would not be a board position). You would take a 3 hour course to certify as a Stroke and Turn Judge.
If you are interested in any of these positions please let me know and I can give you more info if needed.
One more thing…I have started a Facebook page and will be posting info there as well. It may be repetitive sometimes, but this way I can ensure everyone will get the messages.

Prelims Results and Sweet Tomatoes Restaurant Night
Prelim results have been posted under Meet Results 2011.
For the 8 and under boys that participated in the 25 Free at Prelims, there was a mix up with scoring. The top eight finishers are correct. The remaining swimmers will be offered a second chance at swimming the race this weekend at Championships. If you have any questions please contact Coach Fred at coach.fred@comcast.net. Our last restaurant night benefiting the Cook Creek Wahoos will be this Thursday, July 14, at Sweet Tomatoes from 5pm to 8pm. We would love to see you there and your kids will love the idea of selecting their own dinner. You must present the attached flyer at the time of purchase.
